Watch, Read & Reflect
‘Story’ is a Bible engagement resource produced and filmed in Northern Ireland. It is a great aid to both personal and group Bible study.
The ‘Story’ project is a joint initiative between Bible Society NI and Play it by Ear. We hope that it encourages you to read the Bible. Perhaps you will discover stories that you didn’t know, or you will be inspired to read a familiar story in a new way.
5 Story Sessions

Mary and Joseph’s story helps us to think about what life can be like for refugees today.
Gideon’s story
Gideon’s story helps us to think about what it is like to live in a region where it is not always easy to have an open faith.
Pentecost story
The story of Pentecost highlights to us the importance of being able to understand God’s Word in our own languages.
Vashti’s story
Vashti’s story highlights how difficult life can be for women all around the world who are mistreated and still do not have the freedom to get an education, go to work or even make simple decisions on their own.
Jochebed’s story
Jochebed’s story reminds us of the oppression the Israelites living in Egypt faced for being who they were: worshippers of God. Thankfully today it is easier to be a worshiper of God in Egypt.
