Daring to Hope

Experiencing the Grace of Lament

Daring to Hope is a five-part journey that follows the words and cries of some of the Bible’s most famous individual laments. Journeying deeply into the Psalms and various other biblical passages, to encounter and practically explore what lament is and how we too can lament, through the four elements present in passages such as Psalm 13:

  • Turning to God

  • Permission to protest/complain

  • Boldly crying out: “HELP”

  • Daring to (Trust) Hope

Two hands holding a workbook and leader's guide titled 'Daring to Hope: Experiencing the Grace of Lament,' published by the Bible Society Northern Ireland, with abstract line and circle designs on the covers. Bookshelves are in the background.

Through combinations of video teaching, group discussion, personal reflection, and more, Daring to Hope: Experiencing the Grace of Lament will take participants on a journey through Scripture, to encounter, practically explore, and own in our lives, the four elements of lament so often present.
