Who are Bible Society Northern Ireland?
We are a Christian charity passionate about sharing the Bible with people at home and around the world. We work to make the Bible accessible and available to everyone, in a language they understand and at a price they can afford.
We are part of a global network of Bible Societies working in over 240 countries and territories. In Northern Ireland, we support Bible engagement through churches, schools, and individuals. Internationally, we partner with Bible Societies around the world to support translation, distribution, literacy, and engagement projects—bringing the hope of God’s Word to those who need it most.
What do Bible Societies do?
Across the world, Bible Societies work to improve Bible access and engagement for everyone. In Northern Ireland, we distribute the Bible and encourage people to engage with it, but we also fundraise for Bible translation, production, distribution, engagement, literacy and advocacy, as well as holistic ministry and aid, around the world, which all takes place through our sister societies.

Can I buy Bibles from Bible Society?
Yes! We have specialise in non-English Scriptures, and have a small stock in our office. If you are looking for something specific, get in touch and we’ll try to source it for you. We also sell some English Bibles, and can do bulk orders for churches, youth groups and schools.
What denomination are Bible Society Northern Ireland?
We’re interconfessional! That means we serve and work with all churches of all traditions and denominations—Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and Emerging. We’re proud to be part of the United Bible Societies global fellowship, sharing with other societies around the world.
